In 1991, Justice Clarence Thomas was up for confirmation for a seat on the Supreme Court. Anita Hill testified that she felt he had sexually harassed her. Though Thomas was confirmed and sits on the Supreme Court today, it spawned a national conversation about sexual harassment in the workplace and ‘pubic hair on a coke can’ became part of America’s conversation.
